The Grand Junction disposal site is a Uranium Mill Tailings Radiation Control Act (UMTRCA) Title I site. Responsibility for custody and long-term management of the site transferred to DOE’s Office of Legacy Management in 2003. Management responsibilities include routine inspection and maintenance of the disposal site, records-related activities, and stakeholder support.
