Former Fernald Workers: Where Are They Now?

Over the last 50 years, thousands of people have worked at the Fernald site. Many started their careers at the site during the Cold War era, producing high-purity uranium metal products to support the nation’s defense program. Others were hired to clean up the site and restore the land and natural resources. As workers retire or leave the Fernald site to pursue new opportunities, their contributions and memories remain behind. Here is a glimpse into the lives of some of these workers.
