Cleanup Highlights

The Waste Management team celebrates the cleanup of the Plant 1 Pad in June 2003.

Cleanup Highlights
In June 1991, Congress formally ended Fernald’s production mission following the end of the Cold War. Since that time, Fernald’s mission has been the cleanup and restoration of the 1,050 acre site.
