Robert Baney

Robert BaneyRobert Baney is the Acting Director of the Office of Business Operations within the Office of Legacy Management. Mr. Baney is responsible for records and information management associated with more than 70 sites that are closed and no longer support a DOE mission. He is also responsible for the oversight of pension plans and post-retirement benefits for retired contractor workers formerly employed at those sites. In addition, he is responsible for strategic planning, program integration, finance and budget, acquisition, human resources, and administrative support for LM. Mr. Baney has more than 30 years of federal service and previously worked as the Far East Marketing and Sales Manager for the Department of Energy’s Office of Uranium Enrichment. In that capacity he made frequent trips to Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan to meet with nuclear power companies and foreign government officials. Mr. Baney has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Arkansas and an MBA from West Virginia University.
