Atomic Legacy Cabin

 
 Cabin Exterior  
 The Atomic Legacy Cabin presents the history of uranium on the Colorado Plateau as well as Grand Junction’s unique contribution to the Manhattan Project, the Cold War, environmental cleanup, and the U.S. Department of Energy’s continuing legacy management. The interpretive center opened to the public on June 6, 2019.
 

 

 Hours of Operation:
Tuesdays: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Wednesdays: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Thursdays: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Group tours available upon request.
Closed federal holidays.

 Driving directions: The Atomic Legacy Cabin is located on Legacy Way behind Orchard Mesa Municipal Cemetery on 26 ¼ Road and U.S. Highway 50. 

 

Admission to the cabin is free. Tours, education, and outreach programs are available by appointment.
