The Security Building, Industrial Relations Building, and Main Gate Guard Post served Fernald’s security and administrative needs. A turnstile structure connecting the Security Building and Industrial Relations Building was used as the main employee access to the site. The D&D of these structures will include asbestos abatement, demolition using a shear and/or bulldozer, containerization of debris and disposal of the debris in the OSDF. The project is expected to be completed by November 2000.
